Black and White Floral Pieces

These pieces are made from layers with different shaped leaves cut into them. The holes in the middle have been cut in different places so you can see each layer. You can see the details of the middles of the first and second pieces.

Spiky paper models

These paper models were produced in the second year of my 3D Design uni course. The idea came from looking at shells and sea life. The pink and white piece is probably my favourite thing I made all year. Each piece is made up from a series of layers.
The pink part is made from a plastic wallet, which I just cut up and bent around to make it stand up. The paper pieces are stuck together with PVA glue, and the ones that have plastic in them too were fixed together with simple metal rivets. Each piece has a hole through the middle, which isn't too visible on the paper piece, but you can just see it in the pink one. To make each layer, I just cut a hole into the paper, then cut spikes around the hole with scissors or a craft knife, bent the spikes around to get the shapes I wanted. The layers were then fixed together.
